A Founder’s Story, Continued

Throughout my professional career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across nearly every side of healthcare, from payers, employers, healthcare systems, and medical groups to emergency rooms, ICUs, medical helicopters, and patients’ homes. I’ve held senior leadership roles with some of California’s leading healthcare organizations, including serving as Vice President of Quality for the California Hospital Association, where my work focused on patient safety and quality improvement. I’ve also had the opportunity to help build new models of care in healthcare startups, including partnering with Mayo Clinic and Kaiser Permanente to implement one of California’s early Hospital at Home programs. This diverse experience helped me understand healthcare from the patients’ perspective and the many systems responsible for delivering, coordinating, and paying for their care.
